This week end I've done an amusing and surprising exhibition in my city Cachan. It was called 'Chemins d'Art' (Art Paths). The concept was to take a map at the park Raspail of Cachan (the central point), discover small works of all the artists and decide which artists we wanted to visit in their workshop! The weather was perfect for that kind of 'track game' around the town. Some of the workshops were really close one from another and permitted us to have a nich walk in some parts of Cachan I didn't know. But for some which were a bit farer, we could take freely an old english cab! Many cabs were available from the park, but we could also call a cab from the workshop we were.
The taxidrivers were as typical as their cars, with an english accent or red hair.

The first workshop I visited was one of my favorite: the workshop of J-P Douziech (he worked with Salvador Dali!). He is an amazing sculptor, but also a funny storyteller. When we see his work or read one of his poems, we go back directly to our childhood with an extraordinary imaginary world. You can see some of his sculptures and drawings on his webpage:

I visited like about 10 workshops (over 22). It is a funny experience, because you can see where the artists live, and talk to them, ask questions, buy some art works. Small white steps around decorate the pavements. They welcome you with open arms, offer you a drink or a piece of cake and share their techniques from time to time. Some of them seem to be really famous! I've been to the house of a full of life hat-maker, Sylvie Laroche. She was on top of the world and made me try some of her most beautiful hats. I really had a blast! I like hats :)

I enjoyed it a lot. I'll try to do it next year again. I still have many other workshops to visit!
